In the wake of a tragedy and Jamal's valuable discovery, the friends lean on each other like never before as they deal with the repercussions.

1. Chapter Eleven
On New Year's Eve, Monse makes a promise that leaves Cesar at loose ends, Jamal keeps an eye on the money, and Ruby's brother returns with a surprise.
2. Chapter Twelve
While Jamal, Monse and Cesar search for the missing stash, Ruby's grief progresses into anger, leading him to lash out at a dangerous acquaintance.
3. Chapter Thirteen
An increasingly anxious Jamal pays a price for unearthing the money. Monse finds a way to help Cesar, and Ruby sends Jasmine on an impossible errand.
4. Chapter Fourteen
Cesar and Jamal make strange bedfellows, Jasmine helps Ruby find a date for the Valentine's Day dance, and Monse receives a heartbreaking ultimatum.
5. Chapter Fifteen
An attempt to raise Ruby's spirits works a little too well. Cesar gets advice about Monse. Jamal urges Ruby's grandmother to seek medical care.
6. Chapter Sixteen
Unsure about accepting Julia's offer, Monse invites Ruby and Jamal over to help her figure things out, but their visit doesn't quite go as planned.
7. Chapter Seventeen
Baby shower preparations bring out the worst in Ruby's mom. Guilty consciences plague Mario and Cesar, and Jamal worries that the money may be cursed.
8. Chapter Eighteen
As an old enemy returns to the neighborhood, the friends zero in on a solution to both their dirty money problem and Cesar's unstable living situation.
9. Chapter Nineteen
With Cesar's options dwindling, he takes drastic measures, prompting his worried friends to put their own Hail Mary plan into motion.
10. Chapter Twenty
Cesar meets his fate head-on, but friendship lines are drawn when he tries to put things right with Monse, who comes to a decision about her future.
