The third “Bad Boys” feature has been caught in a cycle of false starts and dead ends, with development officially beginning more than 10 years ago in August 2009 when the first screenwriter was hired to write the script. In the course of those ten years, at least two directors have dropped out (franchise mastermind Jerry Bruckheimer.

And honestly … the trailer looks pretty great. It’s got all the hallmarks of the franchise (explosions, macho posturing, F-bombs) in a less expansive Michael Bay-sized package. In other words: we’re in!
