Jones has plenty of experience in the action and thriller genres (his Academy Award-winning role in "The Bourne Supremacy" and "Ultimatum," is also on board for the new flick.

Variety reports that production on the new sequel -- which is still untitled -- is expected to begin this summer. The film is due out on July 29, 2016.
