Sarah Michelle Gellar Confirms Return for 'Cruel Intentions' TV Series
She's back! Reese Witherspoon.
Here's Sarah announcing her return:
According to TVLine, the new series picks up more than 15 years after the end of the movie and follows Kathryn as she vies for control of Valmont International and Bash Casey, son of the late Sebastian Valmont (played by Phillippe in the movie) and Annette Hargrove (Witherspoon). You may recall that Sebastian kept a journal of all of his exploits, and young Bash is meant to find that and be introduced to a world of sex, money, power, and corruption.
It's kind of hard to see how they are going to make a network version of this very R material. Then again, if Emma Roberts can do it on FOX's "Scream Queens," an OG like SMG may have no problem on NBC.
