The shark movie phenomenon really began in 1975 with Jaws,' which is often attributed with creating the modern blockbuster. The trend has continued since then with dozens of new shark movies trying to compete with Spielberg's masterpiece.
With 'The Requin' scheduled to open this week, we thought it would be a good time to look back at some of the best shark movies of all time!
