Yamaguchi Maho Biography
Yamaguchi Maho is a Japanese artist. She is a former member of NGT48, which she left on May 18, 2019. On December 8, 2018 she was assaulted by 2 male fans inside of her apartment building. Details of the incident were not disclosed until January 8, 2019, when she came forward on social media, stating her personal information was leaked to the men through other of NGT48, and denouncing the group's management for inaction in the issue.
She later made a public apology for her claims, sparking outrage in Japan and abroad, with many celebrities including fellow NGT48 accusing the group's management of victim blaming and the management's negligence from domestic and international communities. The men, both 25-year old university students, were arrested by the police and released from custody 20 days later without prosecution.
After Yamaguchi announced she was leaving the group, more sponsors began to pull out from NGT48. She graduated from NGT48 on May 19, 2019. On May 25, 2019, she announced that she has signed with the agency Ken-On. On September 17, 2019 her first solo photobook was released. In Summer 2021, will star as the protagonist in the movie adaption of "Chocolate no Mahou"
